Production Note #2

 In Production Notes

Welcome to our Production Note #2. This week, we’ve done a lot of work on the Leo “Bud” Welch Documentary, but there’s not that much to tell.

We’ve spent most of our time in the editing room, moving scenes around, deciding where to get in and out of a scene, and cutting whatever we feel is not absolutely needed in the movie (heartbreaking decisions at times!).

The current version of the movie is still nearly 4 hours long, so there are still many of those heartbreaking “Sure, this is great but do we really need it?” moments ahead of us.

Anyway, it’s getting clearer and clearer that this movie will not be short one.

Here’s a picture of THE TABLE, our old-fashioned analogue center for arranging and rearranging scenes.

We think we’ve found the perfect start of the movie, the first 10 or so minutes are already pitch-perfect in our view. There’s also a good chance that we’ve found our title. It’s still too early to tell the title, but we’re really happy with it – and we think at least one person reading this will be VERY happy about the title, too.

That’s about the size of it, as Leo would say.

Have a good weekend, everyone!
